Los Deucebags: Your Favorite Dive's Favorite Team

If you live in South Beach, you’ve probably been through Flamingo Park, just a few blocks from The Deuce. You might not know that the park contains a brand new $6.4M (!) state-of-the-art softball field, and you also probably didn’t know that there’s a rotating gang of ruffians – self-named Los Deucebags: your favorite dive's favorite team – who play coed softball at the field on Wednesday nights!

It all started several years ago, when a handful of future Deucebags were randomly placed on the same softball team… In getting to know each other, they quickly realized that in-game adult beverages were great, but what was really wonderful was walking to the Deuce after games for a few more drinks to decompress and wind down, usually on/by the pool table.

This was followed by custom team shirts, honoring The Deuce / Miami Vice style, where everyone’s name represented a different drink (e.g.: Pickleback, Manhattan, Steph on the Beach, Tequilin’ ya Sof-tly, Jack’d & Ginger, etc.). And, now, we have more standardized shirts, courtesy of The Deuce (!!), that honor the trademark neon red lady above the bar, and the Cash Only ethos.

Aaron and Angel (R.I.P.) tell stories about the good ole days, when there were other softball teams that relied on the Deuce as their liquid home base, and things got (ahem) a bit out of hand. We’re trying to keep that amazing spirit alive the only way we know how: by kicking ass on the field and drinking beer everywhere.
