London based creative Freddie Long wrote about his afternoon a Mac's Club Deuce.

The temperature is rising in Miami and there's only one thing to do; find a magical spot where the beer and the air conditioning are both chilly enough to make Santa Claus feel at home. Mac's Club Deuce offers both, along with it's status of one of the coolest dive bars on earth. With that in mind, the Eater Miami staff put together a definitive guide to where to drink in Miami.

Just in time for spring break, Olee Fowler pulled together the Top 12 Miami Dive Bars for a beer and a shot and of course Mac's Club Deuce made the list. How'd we do it?

The Tasting Alliance scours the nation each year to honor only the best and this is The Deuce's year. With our "...testament to the enduring allure of authenticity and simplicity.", The Deuce is honored to put another feather in Mac's cap.

Is there any better way to let the world know Jennifer M. Wood at Condé Nast Traveler said Mac's Club Deuce " is absolutely a contender for America's Greatest Dive Bar" than to announce we made the It List? Jennifer hits all the boxes in her review, making sure that her gentle readers know what they're in for; smoky, laid back, 2-4-1 happy hour, friendly crowd, and efficient bartenders; a place right out of a Bukowski novel.

Leave it to Miami native Paul Rubio to make sure Mac's Club Deuce is mentioned in an article In Condé Nast Traveler! While true Deucers know Mac's belongs in such revered publications like Zaget and CNT, we never thought we'd see the day. In his latest piece, Why There's Never Been a Better Time to Visit Miami–a compilation of work from numerous writers–Paul takes readers on an after sundown tour of Miami. So, thanks Paul, we agree, we "irresistibly lo-fi".

Sure, their not the first scoundrels to find their way to Mac's Club Deuce, but the might be the nicest. Scoundrel's Field Guide added The Deuce to their long list of notable dive bars around the country. Oh, and like a true Scoundrel, the not so fine print tells us they've never had the good fortune to visit The Deuce. A Sunny Place for Shady People. No notes.

Taylor doesn't say how the group stumbled upon our little slice of paradise in the middle of chaos, but she appreciated our "unashamed and glorious" bar with Its 2-4-1 happy hour. Moral of the story. Stick with Mac's.

Surprised that we even have a phone, Time Out Miami gave Mac's Club Deuce a four star review, just in time for spring break. It seems our "all are welcome" philosophy is appreciated at TO Miami. We're not sure what's not to love about our "charming out of character" bar, maybe if we ditch the phone we'll get that fifth star.

Dave Hoeksta from the Chicago Sun-Times reminisces about a recent visit to Mac's Club Deuce while in town for a Cubs-Marlins game. It wasn't his first time at The Deuce and hopefully not his last. Dave tells the story of John Hughes introducing him to Mac's when he (John) lived here, writing for the old Miami News. Dave uses the phrase smoke and mirrors and for many that's a literal description. We have a feeling it means a little more coming from Dave.
