Fernets All-Around

Ladies and gentlemen of The Deuce you really out did yourself last night. With Fernets all-around, the outpouring of love you showed our family was, for a moment, beyond my comprehension. Then, I remembered we were surrounded by the supportive community Angel built.

This past week was a whirlwind of emotions leading up to our celebration of life for my beloved Angel. From multiple reports of Angel reminding many of you he was very much watching over them, to Edoardo Branca, 6th generation family owner of Fernet-Branca, presenting Mac's Club Deuce with the award for selling the most Fernet-Branca in Florida, to being interviewed for a spot coming later this week (stay tuned for more info), to the many friends who traveled back to Miami to celebrate the life of your favorite bartender, my much loved husband Angel Diaz.

The love and support our family has experienced in the months following Angel’s passing have been overwhelming. We deeply appreciate the various ways people have been there for us during our time of need. From heartfelt posts, personal messages and calls, flowers, meals, and donations, to including William and Hunter in your daily lives, checking in on Andy, Angie, Sara, and one another, and traveling from near and far or joining online to attend Angel’s service; your presence has truly touched our hearts. We are incredibly thankful to be part of the caring community Angel helped to create.

Thank you all for joining us last night, coming together to share your love and many stories of Angel with us. To our friends at Fernet-Blanca and DJ Jessica Who, thank for helping us celebrate.
