Ladies and gentlemen of The Deuce you really out did yourself last night. With Fernets all-around, the outpouring of love you showed our family was, for a moment, beyond my comprehension. Then, I remembered we were surrounded by the supportive community Angel built.

We would love everyone to join us at Mac's Club Deuce 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026 as we come together to celebrate the life of our beloved Angel. Come raise your glass of Angel's favorite Fernet –the event sponsor– and enjoy tunes by D.J. Jessica Who. The Deuce crew has a few surprises up their sleeves, so bring your stories and a friend, meet up with old friends, and plan to make new ones; just as Angel would have it.

We are grateful for the many ways people have shown up for us when we needed you the most. From heartwarming posts, personal messages and calls, flowers, meals, and donations, including William and Hunter in your day, traveling from near and far and online to attend Angel’s service, your presences has helped fill our hearts.

Again I can never repay you all for the outpouring of love and support. Thank you isn’t anywhere near enough. I will never forget how this community has rallied around us and helped to hold us together while we were falling apart. I have included additional information about Angel’s service below and in the attached announcement. I would love to thank all of you in person or with a hug. And I will pay this forward forever. A service for Angel will be held Friday, February 13, 2026 at Hollywood Hills United Methodist Church (time TBD). Today, I am saddened to share the heartbreaking news that our beloved bar manager Angel has passed away. Whether you knew Angel personally or just as one of your favorite bartenders, we know he touched your life. Always quick with a quip and a sage beyond his years, Angel lent his ear to all. A friend to many, a husband, father, son, cousin, nephew, Angel’s physical presences will be missed as his spirit will be with us always. So, wherever you may be in this world, raise a F
