Ladies and gentlemen of The Deuce you really out did yourself last night. With Fernets all-around, the outpouring of love you showed our family was, for a moment, beyond my comprehension. Then, I remembered we were surrounded by the supportive community Angel built.

Call us old school–a badge of honor–when we think of the word synthesis our brains immediate go back to the post-punk 80's. Nevertheless, in this case it is writer David Coleman doing a bit of synthesizing of reviews in his latest piece, "This unusual Florida dive bar is definitely worth the visit", for Fast Food Club.

If there are two things you can count on from us it's; We'll never shy away from being included as one of the best bars in town. We'll always keep Mac's Club Deuce unapologetically divey while keeping our drinks strong and cheap. Discover @schmergelsays on IG.

A service for Angel will be held Friday, February 13, 2026 at Hollywood Hills United Methodist Church (time TBD). For all you kids out there, no, Ye is not in the building. We're harkening the days of yore with our Hear Ye, Hear Ye as we celebrate Mac's Club Deuce Day! That's right, The Deuce has received a Proclamation from The City of Miami Beach that today, June 26, 2019 is Mac's Club Deuce Day.

Laine Doss over at Miami New Times has all the places you want to hit on the beach during SOBEWFF this weekend. While we don't kiss and tell in real time, we always appreciate a post and a mention after the fact. One of are all time favs is Chef Anne Burrell who shared with Doss, "It may be a total dive bar, but there is just something that I love, love, love about Club Deuce!” To that chef's kiss we raise our glass.

Big ups to Celia Almeida for including Mac's Club Deuce among the top ten dive bars in Miami! We are honored to be named among some of Miami's most authentic establishments. With no-frills and unpretentious vibes all around, it's possible to carry on your spontaneous misadventures at any one of these fine watering holes.

We believe every good story starts at Mac's Club Deuce and it seems Scottish author J. B. Turner agrees. Often mentioned in newspapers and magazines, this time The Deuce is featured in a novel! Turner included everyone's favorite dive in his latest Jon Reznick thriller.

This week staff writers at Miami New Times came up with a list of 100 Things to Do in Miami Before You Die. They joined forces at The Deuce devising their list on the back of our coasters as they downed cold beer and cheap drinks. At least, that's our story and we're sticking to it. Chances are high Deucers have crossed many of these things off their list; or at minimum numbers 2 and 25. We are, Forever No. 2

When you've been around for 82 years not much surprises you anymore. That's not the case today with the publication of famed Scottish author Irvine Welsh's new book, Crime: A Novel. We know many Deucers consider themselves well read and they've spotted Irvine in our beautiful cream bunker during his visits to Miami over the last decade or so. We're sure Duecers will know exactly who he's describing in this scene as he meticulously recounts the interior of Mac's Club Deuce.
