Iconic Miami Beach bar turns 100 and will celebrate with a massive street party
Mac’s Club Deuce, one of Miami Beach’s most emblematic bars, is about to reach a historic milestone: its 100th anniversary.
The famous South Beach venue will mark the occasion with a street party that brings its classic atmosphere out beyond its doors, aiming to bring together residents, visitors, and the city's nightlife enthusiasts.
The bar first opened in 1926 in the heart of Miami Beach, at the corner of Washington Avenue and 14th Street.
Over the decades, it has remained one of the few places that preserves the essence of "old" South Beach. The bar is known for its neon lights, jukebox, pool table, and the unpretentious style that made it famous.
Although Miami Beach has changed drastically over the years, Mac’s Club Deuce has held onto its identity, becoming a gathering spot for generations of locals, musicians, tourists, and celebrities.
Now, nearly a century after opening, the bar is preparing a special celebration to honor its history and everyone who has walked through its doors.
The Centennial Party
The celebration will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The event? A street party right in front of the bar, located at 222 14th Street, Miami Beach.
According to the organizers, the event will take over the 14th Street area between Washington Avenue and the space surrounding the iconic establishment. There will be live music, drinks, and the signature atmosphere that has defined this South Beach classic for decades.
The celebration is being organized by the Washington Avenue Business Improvement District (BID), which has invited the community to gather and celebrate a century of memories and historic moments.
Attendees can look forward to over seven hours of entertainment, featuring musical performances and an experience designed to recreate the traditional energy of Miami Beach.
A bar with history and famous visitors
Mac’s Club Deuce stands out not only for its longevity but also for the moments it has accumulated over nearly a century.
The bar gained national recognition when the late chef and TV host Anthony Bourdain named it one of his favorite spots. This boosted its fame among travelers and lovers of classic bars.
The venue also appeared several times in the TV series *Miami Vice* during the 1980s. It was during that era that its iconic neon signs were installed inside, eventually becoming part of the establishment's signature look.
Since Mac Klein bought the business in 1964 and gave it his name, Mac’s Club Deuce has maintained a simple philosophy: good music, drinks, conversation, and an unpretentious atmosphere.
Its ability to stand the test of time has made it a living piece of Miami Beach nightlife history.
