Mac's Club Deuce. A Treasure.
I've watched many disagreements over the years and I have to say watching Mac grab an encyclopedia and toss it on the bar for those in dispute to thumb through is by far my favorite way to find resolve. Nathaniel Sandler, Founding Director of Bookleggers Library, shared a special gift as we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Mac's Club Deuce.
Bookleggers Library was founded by Nathaniel in 2012 as a way to bring people together and create community by offering free and accessible books. As a Miami-born writer with a passion for South Florida history, we understand why Mac gave Nathaniel the collection of World Book Encyclopedias so many of our patrons utlized over the years. Mac would be honored to know Nathaniel keeps The Deuce's encyclopedias (a treasure) under lock and key in the special collection cabinet at Bookleggers Library.
