While in Miami researching her upcoming book Fringe Florida Lynn Waddell stumbled upon Mac's Club Deuce. It was 2009 and Lynn was looking for "the state's unusual and sometimes illicit subcultures" when she found something else; friends. She described The Deuce as something straight out of a Damon Runyon novel; we agree. Looking past her setting, she found the lunch-time crowd full of friends, you know them as Deucers. Walking in, Lynn knew no one, a condition our special bar has a way of remedying. Like anyone else stopping by The Deuce around lunch, Lynn met the one-and-only Mac Klein. As Mac emerged from his office he brought treasures from the past with with him; memorabilia from the past 83 years. In that one afternoon Lynn found a place in this world where she, a Deucer, will always find friends, whoever they may be that day.
