It's a Miami Story

Miami is frequently featured in movies and television series. Miami Vice brought the glitz and grit of Miami to American households on Friday nights in 1984–1989. Members of the film crew frequented Mac's Club Deuce which was often featured in the series; most notably, thirty years ago today, in the series finale, Freefall, Season 5 Episode 17 Part 1. 

It was during this time the bar’s famous neons were added; Mac having struck a deal with the producers that at the end of filming it all stayed. These neon strips and images were made and installed by a local artist whose girlfriend modeled for the Beloved Lady of The Deuce neon. 

Miami Vice held its wrap party at Mac’s Club Deuce on April 28, 1989 with “Sonny” (Don Johnson) and “Rico” (Philip Michael Thomas) bartending throughout the nigh with an Open Bar 11p-2am.
