We stumbled across the Mac's Club Deuce bars & pubs directory listing in South Beach Magazine and it's just too good to not to post. We're guessing the editors have never joined us at the bar. What say you Deucers?

There are just as many ideas of what makes a bar a dive as there are dive bars in America. CNN decided that a dive bar "includes decades of history and everything from octogenarian bartenders and surly bouncers to pooping chickens and giggling ghosts." and "most are neighborhood standbys". Were you checking the boxes while reading that last statement? We were and are delighted to be 1 of 9 classic U.S. dive bars.

Forbes sat down for a drink with Anthony Bourdain. Delighted to know we're still number one in his heart. FORBES; who would have thought?

Miami Design Preservation League and Close-Up Productions sat down with our legendary proprietor Mac Klein for the Miami Beach Visual Memoir project. In collaboration with Florida International University Collections and Miami Metropolitan Archive Oral History Collection, Kathy Hersh and the Close-Up Production team spent an afternoon with Mac in his office at Mac's Club Deuce.

It's never to early to talk about making Valentine's Day plans. Miami is swarming with places to take a date on Valentine's Day and Eater Miami offers even more. We see lovers at The Deuce all the time, so it's not surprising to find Mac's on a list of the best dive bars in town. Valentine's Day or any day is a good one to bring your love in for a drink or two.

Someone once said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." We agree with Bueller and apparently so does Eater Miami. Mac's Club Deuce is in good company when it comes to dive bars in Miami, so when it looks like we'll lose one, we all notice. We'll raise a glass for Scotty's Landing and hope you'll join us.

Dave Hoeksta from the Chicago Sun-Times reminisces about a recent visit to Mac's Club Deuce while in town for a Cubs-Marlins game. It wasn't his first time at The Deuce and hopefully not his last. Dave tells the story of John Hughes introducing him to Mac's when he (John) lived here, writing for the old Miami News. Dave uses the phrase smoke and mirrors and for many that's a literal description. We have a feeling it means a little more coming from Dave.

On his latest trip to Mac's Club Deuce, Anthony brought along one of our neighbors, legendary tattoo artist Chris Garver from Miami Ink. Like Bourdain, we consider Garver a friend of The Deuce and like true Deucers these two stopped by for a day beer after Chris provided Anthony with his latest tattoo. It's not the first time we've heard the likes of Keith Richards and Mac's Club Deuce in the same sentence. We can not confirm or deny. However, we can say, we know a man. Come find out for yourself.

Mac's Club Deuce has "transcended the destination" for close to a century and we're delight Playboy took notice. In the latest issue, Playboy compiled their list of the greatest bars in America and yours truly is on it.

When you've been around for 82 years not much surprises you anymore. That's not the case today with the publication of famed Scottish author Irvine Welsh's new book, Crime: A Novel. We know many Deucers consider themselves well read and they've spotted Irvine in our beautiful cream bunker during his visits to Miami over the last decade or so. We're sure Duecers will know exactly who he's describing in this scene as he meticulously recounts the interior of Mac's Club Deuce.

We can't say when we first met Anthony Bourdain, but we know it was well before his latest visit. Like many, Bourdain thinks of Mac's Club Deuce as a home away from home. It's fitting for anyone considering our proprietor, Mac Klein has felt the same way for over forty years. It's always a delight when old friends walk through those double doors and this time it meant a little more.
